Winter Wonderland 2014 at Hyde Park in London
Winter wonderland 2014 at Hyde Park in London brings another season of festive fun, charm and joy for everyone.
As we strolled through the Christmas market at the entrance to winter wonderland, we looked at many seasonal gifts from winter woollies to handmade crafts and jewellery. Though we was quickly led away by the smell of freshly cooked bratwurst being cooked on an open grill, which by the way tasted absolutely delicious.
We did not ice skate on this occasion but watching everyone have fun skating around the bandstand with a Christmas tree inside and lots of Christmas lights was quite spectacular.
Across the way we found the après ski bar with a fire pit and a hippy like band on stage setting the groove for all the merry people. After a few twirls on the dance floor we headed to the fun fair for some high octane adrenalin rides.
Starting off with the Blizzard, the tallest of them all. We sat dangling our feet 60 metres above the ground taking in the skyline view and then quickly catapulted towards the ground whilst being spin upside down and around-round.
Now we was fuelled with adrenalin we quickly collected ride tokens from the kiosks and prepared ourselves to be jolted left and right, back and forth until we was completely dizzy. We tried most of the rides but my favourite was Air.
We took a break from the rides to calm down the excitement and ordered some mulled wine to help do the job. This also a good idea if you feel Jack Frost nibbling on your ears and need a hot drink to warm up. Some mulled wines taste different to others so you may want to try a few different stalls to find the best one.
We eventually arrived at the Bavarian village. A massive saloon like bar with plenty of seating next to an indie music stage and bars all around. The music was loud and pleasing and it was a cool place to sit down for a while and enjoy the live music and buzzing atmosphere.
Winter wonderland 2014 at Hyde Park in London is a great day our for all family, freinds and couples.
